Welcome

      Barbara, Melissa, and Rooney would like to welcome you to Sentimental Sisters. Some may be wondering , "What does a Sentimental Sister do?". Well the shortest explanation is one-anothering. I like to think of us as the cheerleaders of the FS Group. One-anothering is the act of uplifting a brother or sister in Christ when they may be needing encouragement, celebrating with their triumphs in life, and cheering them on in their walk with the Lord.

But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called today,
so that none of you may be hardened by sins deceitfulness.
Hebrews 3:13 (NIV)

      The Lord knew that His children would become discouraged in their lives and with their walk with Him, by the afflictions that come upon us and that we bring upon ourselves in this sin filled world. So He gave each member in the body of Christ certain gifts they are to use in their work for Him. "Encouraging" one another is just one of those gifts.

We have different gifts, according to the grace given us...
if it is encouraging let him encourage.
Romans 12:6,8

      We should all work at developing the gifts the Lord has blessed us with. So I encougare you to encourage someone today. Whether they are down in spirit or body, a thoughtful word or deed could make a huge difference in their life and yours.

Show a Little Bit of Love and Kindness

Sing a song, spread some cheer,
There are sad and lonely people every where;
Be a friend, show some love,
It will lift them from the dungeons of despair.
Offer help, bring some hope,
To the fainting and discouraged on life's road:
See a need, lend a hand,
There are many who are crushed beneath their load.
Be a light, show the way,
Be a light within the night for those astray;
Speak a word, loving word,
That will bring them back to walk the narrow way.

Show a little bit of love and kindness,
never go along with hatreds blindness,
Take a little time to reach for joy,
And wear a happy face!

Sing a little bit when the days are dreary,
Give a little help to a friend who's weary...
That's the way to make the world a happy place!

      Christians encounter obstacles everyday in the secular world. They must receive the encouragement from their brother's and sister's in Christ to keep them strong in the Lord and on the right path. Some are on the goal line working hard for the Lord to get that touchdown. "One more sinner comes home." Others are on the sideline cheering them on to Victory in Jesus! Most of all just wait and see how it changes you to encourage one another.
